Walthamstow beer hall Big Penny Social has announced it will open a new £1.2m competitive socialising venue this May, offering darts, pool, shuffleboard, and karaoke to up to 250 customers at a time.
The 5,000 sq ft Flukes will sit above the existing premises on Priestley Way, and has been designed to resemble a retro games room in a social club, with six oches and the UK’s first interactive shuffleboards.
“Flukes is a new twist on an old games hall you’d find in social clubs, where technology on darts and shuffleboards gives everyone a chance to win and fun is at the heart of everything,” said Big Penny Social MD Frans Kobus.
“We’ve put a lot of work into making sure Flukes is designed and has an ambience that is unlike any other competitive socialising venue. Having this experience on top of everything else on offer in the rest of Big Penny Social will create such a special place which is great for a night out with your partner, a big group of mates, or the whole company.”
Flukes will also include its own separate bar featuring bespoke cocktails and a kitchen serving pizzas and sharing platters, and will open on 8 May.
