Harts Amusements has officially transformed into Treasure Cove with new owner Chris Oldland seeing his vision – and £100,000 investment in renovating and rebranding – deliver a fresh offering to the Bispham resort with an arcade prioritising “new machines and a new approach.”
The much-loved Harts Amusements in Bispham has officially reopened as Treasure Cove, after owner Chris Oldland invested £100,000 in renovating the seafront site, delivering “new machines and a new approach.”
Located in “a really good spot” opposite Blackpool Illuminations, the arcade now features similar branding to its sister site Treasure Island in Cleveleys, as well as an updated selection of family-focused attractions.
“We appreciate the legacy of Harts but we’re looking to open a new chapter which will excite people,” said area manager Lee Preston-Stefani. “The machines we offer are redemption models, which allow players to win tickets rather than cash and they can then use their tickets to claim prizes. We’re in a really good spot, just across from the Illuminations and the start of Ride the Lights.”
“We also offer incredibly reasonable prices because we are part of the wholesale business ITM Ltd, which allows us to buy prizes in bulk and pass the savings on to the customer. We are keen to get our name out there, including on social media platforms, to let people know what we offer.”
The arcade also hosted a special in-person social media event on 29 April, to help boost awareness, with 30 content creators invited to try the machines and make the most of the new facilities, while posting the resulting videos to their followers.
“We’ve done a lot of alterations and put our own stamp on the place,” said duty manager Michael Buston. “Basically, the idea is for people to come here and have fun.”
A Treasure trove
