Ashley Temple remembered “with great affection” following his death aged 56

Ashley Temple – Crown Leisure sales executive, member of the Temple amusements dynasty, and “a friend to many” –  has passed away aged 56.

Announcing the news this week, Bacta president Joseph Cullis paid tribute to the “much-loved and valued member of our industry and community.”

“He was a dedicated and passionate member of the team at Crown Leisure for many years, making significant contributions not only to the business, but to the wider industry,” said the Bacta president.

“His kindness, passion, and good humour left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing or working with him. A friend to many, he will be greatly missed.”

The son of Jack Temple Snr, who founded Temple Agencies and Services in 1980, Ashley was brother of Novomatic’s director of sales Kevin Temple, and was also uncle to Bandai Namco’s Christian Temple, and Admiral’s Jack Temple.

“At this time, we are respecting the wishes of his family for privacy and space,” added Cullis. “I know many of you will want to pay your respects, and I will share any further details, including arrangements, when appropriate.”

“Ashley will be remembered with great affection by colleagues and friends from across the whole industry. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are very much with Ashley’s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”
