Babylon Park in Camden is continuing to win praise for its range of indoor rides and attractions, with the three-storey venue offering “a great escape on rainy days.”
The 35,000 sq ft space-themed FEC opened at Hawley Wharf in summer 2022, and has since established itself as a key draw to the area for families.
And The Sun, no less, appreciated the endeavours of the Babylon team. “It doesn’t have to be doom and gloom now the sun has gone, as the UK is home to a giant indoor amusement park with games for small and big kids,” the national newspaper reported. “There is everything you would expect to find at an outdoor theme park.”
But it was the underground allure of the venue that caught the Sun’s attention. “Located on the basement floor of the attraction, technically making it an underground ride, ‘Energy Recovery System’ will whizz riders around the track four times before returning to its station. All the other attractions at the park also fit in with the extra-terrestrial theme including the glowing LED bumper cars and the UFO-shaped drop tower.”
Babylon Park has undoubtedly made its mark in the two years since its launch, thanks to a successful blend of offerings including an arcade with top-performing video game cabinets alongside dance machines VR experiences and foam axe-throwing, while a Hook-a-Duck stall continues the space theme with “hybrid unicorn-ducks.”
“The fun attraction is just a ten-minute walk from Camden Town station and offers a great escape on rainy days, or even from the bustling crowds of sightseers.”
