Bacta has a lot to talk about and what better place to connect with the industry than at the forthcoming edition of the Park Avenue Open Day? Described by Bacta’s George McGregor as being an ‘industry institution’ Park Avenue will feature a senior delegation from the trade association led by President John Bollom.
A senior Bacta delegation comprising President John Bollom, Executive Directors George McGregor and Robert Gibb alongside Public Affairs Advisor Dane Bainbridge and Membership and Compliance Co-ordinator Theresa Risby will be on hand at next week’s Park Avenue Open Day to meet with members, help them with any issues and update on the latest developments impacting Technical Standards, the white paper, the Bacta Portal, the Charitable Trust Smile! initiative and the forthcoming Bacta elections.
Looking ahead to what is widely regarded as being one of the most enjoyable events on the industry calendar George McGregor said: “It’s a huge pleasure for Bacta to have such a strong presence at Park Avenue, an industry institution which provides a fantastic opportunity to meet with members in what is a unique atmosphere.”
“Bacta has rarely been busier representing the interests of members across a range of key fronts, not least the proposed changes to Technical Standards which threaten livelihoods throughout the gaming industry supply chain, the timetable for the implementation of the gambling reforms recommended in the white paper and the campaign of misinformation surrounding AGCs.
“Bacta is in the fortunate position of being able to draw on the vast talent pool that exists within the membership. The forthcoming elections for the three National Council seats for Past Presidents and the full Bacta Amusement Council (20 seats) represent an opportunity to bring that talent to the fore. We will be using our presence at Park Avenue to encourage members to use their vote to back their favoured candidates ahead of the balloting period closing June 12th. The outcome of the elections will be declared at Bacta’s June 19th AGM.”
Reflecting on the importance of Park Avenue George McGregor noted: “I believe that the industry is at its very best when it comes together in a relaxed social environment and discusses product. Park Avenue reflects those credentials and Bacta is hugely grateful to the teams at Electrocoin and UDC for organising such a cherished event, for bringing the industry together and also for raising precious funds for the Bacta Charitable Trust.”
