The Rudd Group has announced that Barrie Webster has been promoted from head of commercial at its specialised division company Clear Cool to managing director, following “a period of strong growth” for the catering equipment supplier.
Webster joined the company in 2019, and has since proved the “driving force behind the business,” founding partnerships with Starbucks and NUFC, while playing a key role in product development.
“Despite leading the business, you’ll regularly spot him at darts and pool events across the group, he’s fully behind everything we do,” said a spokesperson. “In fact, it’s fair to say he’s never met an event invitation he didn’t like.”
“He brings a wealth of knowledge from across the catering industry and genuinely wants to help customers get the very best out of their equipment, not just sell it.”
Though Webster has been instrumental in developing products such as the Glacier ice machine, the group said that his focus on “exceptional customer service” has been essential to the growth of Clear Cool.
“Looking ahead, Barrie’s focus is clear; supporting customers, strengthening relationships, and continuing to evolve what we offer. He’s a huge asset to the business, and this is a very well-deserved next step. Congratulations Barrie.”
