Scottish bingo caller Vinnie McKee amazed audiences on Britain’s Got Talent this week, proving that his talents extend far beyond the bingo hall.
McKee, who entertains crowds at Thurston Manor Leisure Park with bingo, karaoke, and cabaret nights, delivered a powerful ballad rendition of The Proclaimers’ I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles). His moving performance earned him the first golden buzzer of the series from Simon Cowell, securing a place in the final.
Originally from Glasgow, McKee has spent years honing his craft while keeping guests entertained. “I’ve always wanted to be a singer, but I thought I was getting too old and it would never happen,” he admitted.
On social media, Thurston Manor congratulated McKee on his “amazing performance”. The beloved bingo caller-turned-star is in the running for £250,000 and a Royal Variety Performance, following in the footsteps of Susan Boyle and Paul Potts.
