The CEO of Bourne Leisure has been awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for his services to the hospitality, travel and leisure industries, Holocaust education and charity.

Paul Flaum has led the Haven and Warner Hotels owner since 2017, alongside public engagement work with UKHospitality and the Visitor Economy Advisory Council.

“There are so many people who have influenced my life and made it possible for me to be considered for this award,” said Flaum. “I’m very grateful to all of you.”

“I have been truly privileged to have been able to play a role, over so many years, in the incredible Hospitality, Travel and Leisure industry. This is a vital part of our economy and community creating and developing careers for so many talented individuals.”

Flaum also dedicated his award to his uncles Alec and Alf, both Holocaust survivors, and to “the 782 Flaums who were murdered in the Holocaust.”
