Bridlington in praise of Reece Holland after Coinslot coverage

Bridlington residents have voiced strong support for community campaigner and amusements family royalty Reece Holland following a recent article in Coinslot highlighting his fight for early oral cancer detection.

The story, which detailed Holland’s cancer journey and his campaign to improve awareness and access to screening, prompted a wave of praise from locals on social media.

Many commenters pointed to his wider work supporting the town. Susan Gothard wrote: “Reece is a one of a kind, he’s doing a fabulous job around Bridlington, what he did for the lonely at Christmas…the donations from other businesses was spectacular… getting people together on a Sunday morning, he fought the cancer battle… got the screening mobile van to the Saturday market.”

Residents also highlighted his role as a community ambassador.

“Brilliant ambassador for Bridlington does so much to help local people and businesses,” said Jan Gregory. “So pleased he caught it early and that he raised awareness to help others.”

Several commenters suggested Holland should run for mayor, and local resident Neil Hodgson called on his efforts to receive wider recognition.“Next Pride of Britain awards,” he commented.

While Holland has gone above and beyond any expectation, his campaign continues a tradition long associated with Britain’s amusements industry, with operators playing an active role in supporting their local communities. Holland has brought these efforts into the podcast era with his frequent videos on the seaside town’s development and his own cancer journey offering an uplifting reflection on real-life in Bridlington.
