Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth has warned customers that continued vandalism of its newly renovated male toilets could lead to the facilities being closed.
A spokesperson for the attraction said the toilets had been repeatedly vandalised since reopening following winter refurbishment works.
“With the extensive cost to renovate these facilities over the winter months, to see abuse like this is absolutely not acceptable,” they commented. “Anyone seen to be abusing our facilities will be asked to leave immediately and could face legal action. Further abuse will result in us being forced to close these down and all customers will have to be re-directed to the public toilets on the sea front.”
Britannia Pier also said the vandalism had affected plans for further improvements elsewhere on site. Responding to questions about why the women’s toilets had not yet been upgraded, the venue said: “This is the exact reason why.”
