Brown Leisure’s  Southampton bingo hall closure finalised as lease rescinded

There will be no rising from the ashes for Leo Leisure in Southampton as landlord Questmap Ltd last week confirmed it “has taken possession of the property.”

Brown Leisure, the company that operated the lease, had announced it was leaving the building three weeks ago, posting on social media: “With Heavy hearts, we regret to inform you that we will be closing from Sunday 21st June. It has been a great 4 years and we also like to thank each and every one of you who has joined us through these last 4 years.

“Hope you all will  come and join us on Sunday 21st so we can say our goodbyes and celebrate the end of this journey.

“So from Lisa Jason Keith and the team we thank you for the last 4 years and will see you in the near future.”

Any return to the venue has been ruled out: Questmap confirmed that it had “peaceably re-entered the property and thereby terminated the lease.”

The landlord cites a breach of the lease for its actions.
