Buzz Bingo handed out £26,000 in prizes at its Byker club earlier this month, in celebration of the venue’s refurbishment, which has seen the addition of a new hi-tech bingo lounge.
The Clifford Road site was given a complete overhaul by the company, including a bar named after legendary footballer Jack Charlton, who opened the club in 2005.
“The club has undergone an amazing transformation, and we’re so excited to share our new look with both familiar faces and new members,” said GM Norman Fletcher. “Naming the new bar ‘Charlton’s’ is a lovely nod to our club’s identity, and we know our customers will love the stylish new feel of the whole club.”
“The response to the revamped décor and our lounge area so far has been amazing. It’s the bingo we all know and love but with added sparkle!”
The £26,000 in prizes were claimed by lucky players on 6 and 7 March, with Buzz COO Stevie Shaves adding “this transformation of our Newcastle club underscores Buzz Bingo’s commitment to providing the best bingo and entertainment experiences in the world.”
“We’re investing £25m into our venues over the next few years. Bingo is a beloved British pastime, and we’re seeing a fantastic comeback, particularly with the Gen Z crowd, who are discovering it as a popular, great-value night out.”
