There was no doubting the stars of the show on GeWeTe’s stand at EAG, with the Cash Center Premium and Cash Recycler Premium still proving themselves superior in a competitive field. But with new arrivals such as the Arcade Pilot system enjoying their UK debut, Sales Manager UK & Ireland Mark Edmundson, told Coinslot there was plenty for visitors to see.
Coinslot: How did the show go for you this year: did it meet your expectations?
Mark Edmundson: It was a great show for GeWeTe and MARS with a lot of interest in all the models and features we can offer. It was the first time the Arcade Pilot system was shown in the UK, this is a cashless system for FEC’s operators with card vending, reloading and refunding undertaken by the GeWeTe machine.
Coinslot: Were there any key developments finalised at EAG?
Mark Edmundson:We are still working through all of the enquiries and orders, and we would like to thank everyone that visited our stand for making it a very enjoyable and successful show.
Coinslot: What were the stand highlights – which products caught the attention and what was reaction to your portfolio of products?
Mark Edmundson:As always, the standout models were the Cash Center Premium and Cash Recycler Premium. MARS generated a lot of interest mainly from the AGC sector with its TITO and Data Capture system offering a very versatile and accurate system.
Coinslot: It’s going to be a defining year for the business – new legislation and new regulation. How did you gauge the general mood of the industry and what were the main talking points?
Mark Edmundson:The general mood at the show was positive, some visitors were complaining that they were not allowed into the Casino area of the show and why there needed to be controlled access between the two shows, so maybe one to be reviewed next year.
Coinslot: Now the show is over, what’s on your agenda going into spring in terms of new products, new projects and more exhibitions?
Mark Edmundson:Our focus was to respond to every visitor to our stand which is always our priority and further meetings being arranged to finalise topics discussed at the show, so site surveys and quotes/orders can be completed.
But it’s straight to ICE Barcelona, which unfortunately is back to back with EAG this year, then many more shows throughout the year.
