Clacton Pier has announced it will host 11 free fireworks displays throughout 2025, with the first event taking place on Easter Sunday, and four more being held on consecutive Saturdays through the summer holidays.
The pier will once again be working with Dynamic Fireworks from Colchester to organise the pyrotechnics, which will also mark both May bank holidays, the Clacton Airshow, and the August bank holiday, with a final two displays on Bonfire Night.
“It is a significant ongoing financial commitment and the owners are keen to play their part in providing events for the community and to help boost the local economy,” said communications manager Nigel Brown.
“We know that the fireworks bring people into the town but they are also very much for local residents who are our regular customers throughout the year.”
The summer holiday dates are 26 July, 2, 9 and 16 August, and have become a regular fixture since being introduced in 2021, while the Clacton Airshow display will take place on 21 August following on from the night flights.
As well as the final main display on 8 November to celebrate Bonfire Night, the pier announced there will also be an early lower noise level performance after a first time trial last year delivered “great feedback.”
