Clacton Pier recently launched a video of its new theme song, ‘Let’s go to Clacton Pier’, with the Facebook debut drawing in a wave of reviews.

Some commenters claimed to “love it”, while some others were less into the music – but what was unanimous, however, was the appreciation of the Clacton Pier staff in the accompanying video. 

“The girl who does the kids big wheel is a credit to her job she’s so kind so gentle with the kids and lovely with us adults definitely deserves employee of the season,” said one commenter.

Another added: “The lady on the jumping jacks is so lovely, and amazing with the children she is a credit to [the pier].” 

While the jury is still out on the song, the efforts from Clacton Pier’s staff – in both theme song music video and their everyday duties – appears to be beyond reproach.
