CLMS Golf Day celebrates 30 years at the Lincoln Golf Club

The CLMS Golf Day celebrated its 30th anniversary last week, with representatives from every sector of the industry assembling at Lincoln Golf Club to compete for the individual trophy, while raising £2,400 for Bassetlaw Hospice, Retford.

Representatives from across the UK industry made their way to Lincoln Golf Club in Torksey last week, to take part in the 30th CLMS Golf Day and generate thousands of pounds in donations for Bassetlaw Hospice, Retford.

The event was “filled with laughter, camaraderie, and some colourful language,” as manufacturers, operators, consultants and distributors braved the chilly weather to compete for the title, all while raising £2,400.

“The players were well looked after by Lisa Snow and Lisa Becket from the CLMS office, who did an amazing job encouraging donations for our chosen charity,” said CLMS.

“Thanks to their efforts (and the incentive of Baby Guinness shots and Jameson’s whiskey to stave off the cold!) we raised just short of £2,400. This total will be generously topped up once again by the Bacta Charitable Trust, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all Bacta members for their continued support.”

The golf day welcomed representatives from retailers and consultants such as Admiral, LMS, M&B, Welcome Break, and Roadchef, as well as operators Dransfield, Fair City, Inspired, Keeday, Regal, Sims, and SX Leisure, manufacturers Boomerang Digital, E-Service, Innov8, Inspired, and Reflex, and distributors including UK Gaming Solutions.

Gaming Business Group CEO Peter Hannibal also competed, alongside ten members of Lincoln Golf Club, and Glynn and Mary Mellor, who took the ladies’ title, while Lincoln Golf Club captain Paul Stafford was awarded the individual trophy.

“A special thank you goes to Lincoln Golf Club for hosting us once again, to all those who donated prizes for the raffle, and to the players who travelled from across the UK to take part,” said CLMS MD Simon Barff. “We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another fantastic event!”
