“This stunning venue shows our commitment to bringing bingo into the modern age”, said a proud Brian Fraser as he and 850 guests attended the opening of Club 3000’s new Leeds venue. A major investment and a major boost for the UK’s high street revival.
Club 3000 Bingo held a “spectacular celebration” on 23 August to open its new venue in Leeds, with Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd officially cutting the ribbon of the new state-of-the-art Hunslet club.
More than 850 guests attended the opening night for an evening of entertainment, live music, complimentary drinks, and treats from the club’s own ice cream van, as well as “plenty of thrilling bingo games.”
“We are absolutely delighted to open our newest club here in Leeds,” said Club 3000 Bingo owner Brian Fraser. “This stunning venue shows our commitment to bringing bingo into the modern age, and the incredible turnout tonight made it all the more unforgettable.”
Leeds is Club 3000’s 25th UK venue, and is the result of a £5.5m investment designed to bring bingo “into a whole new era,” with a focus on social spaces and modern technology.
“The new venue is incredible and was filled to the brim,” said the Leeds-born Shepherd, after completing his ribbon-cutting duties.
“It was a fantastic evening with an electric atmosphere, and I was given the warmest welcome. Some of my family joined me as well, and they absolutely loved both the entertainment and, of course, playing bingo!”
General manager Sam Cliffe added “a huge thank you to everyone who came along and to my amazing team – we can’t wait to welcome even more guests in the coming weeks.”
