Cumberland MYP Bobby Forbes has thanked the team at Blakes Amusements for the “valuable life skills you’ve provided me with” during his shifts at the arcade, after speaking on behalf of his constituency at the House of Commons.

Forbes was first elected to the Youth Parliament in 2023 and fulfills the role alongside his work at Blakes, with the arcade team taking to social media to celebrate the young politician’s recent address to fellow MYPs.

“We would like to congratulate the birthday boy, our very own Bobby Forbes MYP,” said a Blakes spokesperson. “One day in the House of Commons, the next back to work with us.”

“Bobby recently spoke at the UK Youth Parliament Annual Sitting in the House of Commons, championing standardised political education and standing up for young farmers – two causes that matter deeply to young people across the country. It’s a shame we can’t have Bobby in our local town council – he’s a great advocate for his community, always prioritising what they need over what he wants.”
