Discobowl is on track to officially reopen its new venue in Burnley this half term, after investing £1.2m in bringing the Finsley Gate alley “into the 21st Century.”
The Nottingham-based operator took on the lease of the site from MFA Bowl in March, and has since undertaken a major renovation of the popular entertainment centre.
“When we took over the site it was in need of some investment and love,” said manager Nav Singh. “The venue is well known and well loved in Burnley and we want to bring it into the 21st century and make it a destination place for families, couples and workmates.”
“The response so far from the people of Burnley has been fantastic, and we can’t wait to unveil the finished product.”
Burnley is Discobowl’s thirteenth alley, and is the sole bowling centre in the town, having operated from the same building for more than three decades.
According to the Burnley Express, the investment includes “an upgrade to the 24 lanes, new seating, lighting, and bar and reception area, new arcade machines and the installation of Scrapyard Golf – a signature of Discobowl.”
“The transformation project looks set to be complete in time for half term.”
