Dots and Slots has reported a strong start to its first three months on Minehead’s high street, a notable recovery for a venue rebuilt after a 2022 fire forced the former Electric Avenue to shut down.

Now fully transformed, the venue has re-emerged as a contemporary entertainment hub with a renewed focus on bingo, marking a significant shift in its identity while retaining the familiar elements long valued by loyal customers.

Central to the relaunch is the introduction of bingo through the Bingo Plus network, a move designed to modernise play without sidelining traditionalists. The technology has helped the venue broaden its customer base by creating a dynamic and engaging experience. Dots and Slots also offers updated surroundings, a bar, and a team that includes several long-serving staff with more than two decades’ experience. 

Early indicators suggest the changes are having a measurable impact: since reopening, the business has reported stronger results, to the extent that what was once considered a “good week” is now viewed as below average. The early performance of Dots and Slots indicates that opportunities remain on Britain’s high streets, with the venue’s popularity also providing a welcome boost in footfall for surrounding traders.
