Drayton Manor takes the glory in new UK theme park survey

Drayton Manor has lifted the honours in a recent survey of theme parks. A total of 45 rides, 9 food outlets and relatively cheap accommodation lifted the park to top spot ahead of Paultons Park and Pleasure Park Resort.

A new survey from play equipment supplier Outdoor Toys has once again named Drayton Manor as the top theme park in the UK, with Paultons Park and Pleasure Beach Resort Blackpool ranked second and third respectively.

The Top Ten list was compiled by comparing ride numbers, entry fees, accommodation costs, F&B outlets, and online reviews, with Drayton Manor scoring 7.14 out of a possible ten to top the list for the second consecutive year.

“The family-favourite park boasts 45 rides, including the iconic Stormforce Ten, giving it the second-highest number of rides on our list, beaten only by Woodlands Family Theme Park,” said Outdoor Toys.

“There are nine food outlets at Drayton Manor for families to choose from, with options ranging from The Chicken Diner to Safari Pizza and Pasta. For families making a long journey to visit the attraction, the average cost per night for a room in a three-star hotel is £67 – the cheapest on our list.”

The supplier praised Paultons Park as “the ideal destination for Peppa Pig lovers and adrenaline-seeking families alike,” while Pleasure Beach Resort was “perfect for those seeking a coastal getaway.”

Completing the list were, in order of precedence, Lightwater Valley, Sundown Adventure, Fantasy Island Skegness, Alton Towers, Woodlands Family Theme Park, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park, and BeWILDerwood.
