Change is clearly afoot at Game Nation with CEO Mark Jepp establishing his vision for the brand. Following the hire of a hospitality expert and additions to the senior team Game Nation customer-facing staff are now sporting the new uniform they wanted.
The evolution of Game Nation into a contemporary high street brand continues under the direction of CEO Mark Jepp with the latest initiative seeing the roll-out of a new smart and stylish uniform for all customer-facing staff.
The outcome of a process launched by Jepp shortly after his appointment in September 2024, the new uniform reflects the values which underpin his vision for the development of Game Nation which is the UK’s third biggest AGC retailer. He stated: “When I joined six months ago I found a great business, with great people who brought a great energy to their work.
“I was very clear that whilst we couldn’t immediately address every aspect of the business, that I would instead prioritise the key issues and one which arose in all of my conversations with venue staff was their desire to have a new uniform that they could feel proud of. We continued our conversations with the team, tested some samples, listened to the feedback and as a consequence have been able to deliver a uniform which is durable, practical, stylish and popular.”
He added: “Obviously, we are not going to realise our broader vision thanks solely to a new uniform but it is indicative of a process of continual improvement which among other advances has seen us secure the services of hospitality guru Andrew Kemsley whose insight is already changing the way we do business, appoint Eric Howell and Sharon Lewis to the leadership team, start the process of adopting a charity partner, enhance our internal communications, explore collaborative initiatives with games creators and introduce a culture of always thinking out side of the box.
“There is so much talent sitting within Game Nation and my challenge and that of the senior team is to ensure that we recognise that talent, cultivate it and help elevate it to the next level.”
