“Everyone was happy”: NSM Music builds on strong relationships at IGS

NSM Music’s appearance at IGS emphasised the importance that the company places on meeting customers face to face, with sales manager Alex Kirby explaining to Coinslot how the show gave customers the opportunity to engage with the Atom jukebox in person, to “touch it, feel it, have a proper look at it… that’s what sells it.”

IGS 2025 offered NSM Music the opportunity to once again bring its standout products into the heart of the Irish market, with the company’s proven track record in nurturing strong customer relationships ensuring that “everyone was happy.”

Speaking to Coinslot, sales manager Alex Kirby noted that though the Atom’s stellar reputation preceded it, the Curve “still held its own and did very well,” as both new customers and established partners flocked to the company’s stand.

“It was a good show,” said Kirby. “We saw who we needed to see, and everyone was happy. We go to show our faces and meet customers we don’t see throughout the year – although we do try our best to see them – and we always come away with orders. It’s always a good show for us. It’s not too stressful, and we enjoy it.”

“We’ve got a good presence in Ireland, it’s been one of our strong markets for many years, and I think you’ve got to be there to do the deal. It’s not the sort of thing you can do over the phone, or via Zoom call, it doesn’t really work like that. People like to be face to face with you, so that’s what we do.”

Fundamentally, the show also gave customers the opportunity to experience the Curve and the Atom in person, with Kirby noting “it’s nice because it’s not a picture in a brochure, you can actually touch it, feel it, have a proper look at it.”

“People are pleasantly surprised by the Atom especially, because when you tell them the price tag they think it’s going to feel cheap, but when they see it they realise it’s not a cheap product. That’s what sells it, and that’swhy it’s such a good product.”

However, a strong showing at IGS doesn’t mark the end of NSM’s commitment to the Irish market, with Kirby due to consolidate the company’s success with more in-person customer engagement throughout the year.

“We will do a trip around Ireland, to see customers and knock on doors, to show our face and do deals that way as we always do, so we’ll be travelling round Ireland this year, engaging with people.”
