Funstation to expand its collaboration with Pixel Games

FEC operator Funstation used EAG as a platform to announce that it would expand its collaboration with interactive floor-game provider Pixel Games, after a success trial of their flagship product at their Belfast location.

Pixel offers easily updatable gaming floors touting a variety of active games, none of which require staff input or interaction.

Funstation co-founder James Miller said that the installation of the Pixel unit in Belfast had already had “an incredible impact,” with guest-feedback praising the “interactive and immersive nature of the attraction.”

The sentiment was echoed by Funstation Belfast general manager Ashleigh Kirkwood, who said the game had “attracted all ages.”

“Everyone is so pumped and exhilarated playing on it, adults watch the kids play on it and then join in with them,” she said. “We have groups of friends compete against each other and people on date nights together…it really does attract everyone.”

Whilst Miller hasn’t specified how many new Pixel floors will make their way into the Funstation portfolio, he did say that the new agreement with Pixel represented “the latest step in our partnership,” adding that the deal was “testament to the shared passion we have for delivering unforgettable entertainment experiences.”

For his part meanwhile, Pixel’s frontman Ilias Tourgaidis remarked that he was “thrilled” at the positive feedback the unit in Belfast had received.

“We’re very excited about the future and can’t wait to bring even more memorable moments to your venues in 2025 and beyond,” he said.
