Gambling Commission encourages industry attendance at the last in its series of AGC workshops

The Gambling Commission has reminded operators that there are two free AGC workshops taking place this month, focusing on customer interaction and AML requirements.

The events are the last in a series begun in December, which sees representatives of the regulator meet with venue operators to discuss best practice.

“On 18 December 2024 the Commission emailed all Adult Gaming Centre (AGC) operators advising that we are holding free workshops on customer interaction and anti-money laundering requirements,” said a spokesperson.

“There are currently two workshops remaining – one in Loughborough on 25 February 2025 and one in Glasgow on 27 February 2025. Any AGC operators that would like to attend should email ComplianceAction@gamblingcommission.gov.uk.”

The workshops come as the Commission announces changes aimed at increasing consumer control over deposit limits and “greater transparency of customer funds protected by operators.”
