The Gambling Commission returned to EAG this year with the stated intention of deepening its engagement with the industry, speaking to attendees and exhibitors about both the challenges and opportunities of the current landscape.
The delegation included representatives from the UK regulator’s compliance, licensing and policy departments, including senior manager for industry engagement Sophie Crookson, and compliance manager Scott Denim.
“As we get into the swing of the new year, our Compliance, Licensing and Policy colleagues have made their way down to the capital, to attend the EAG Expo at the ExCeL,” said a spokesperson. “Events like this help us understand new innovations, emerging trends and the challenges operators face.”
“Across the three days, we had face-to-face conversations with operators, manufacturers and trade body representatives, answering questions and discussing our current work and priorities. We also gave industry members a chance to hear directly from us about areas like our new Licence Support service, customer interaction expectations and self-exclusion requirements.”
The commission’s stand was located directly opposite the Bacta lounge, allowing for consistent engagement between the two bodies over the course of the event.
“Thanks to Bacta for inviting us, and to everyone who stopped by our stand for such productive conversations.”
