Game Nation has a clear vision to build its profile on the high street based on raising standards, maximising the potential of every venue and bringing the fun back into the AGC experience. Delivering the vision means having the right team of talented individuals, a process that Mark Jepp has started with the appointments of Eric Howell and Sharon Lewis.
Mark Jepp’s Game Nation leadership team is taking shape with the appointment of experienced industry executive Eric Howell to the post of Compliance and Audit Director alongside Sharon Lewis who joins as Marketing Development Manager.
Jepp, who was named Game Nation CEO in September, believes the two new appointments will add both experience and creativity to the business. He stated: “Eric began his career with Coral Social Clubs in 1989 and has hands-on cross-sector experience working across the Bingo, Casino and LBO sectors.
“His most recent post was with Mecca where he was instrumental in the revitalisation of the brand’s slots operation. With a commitment to the delivery of ethical, customer-focussed entertainment he brings credibility and gravitas to the Game Nation business.”
The country’s third largest AGC operator has added Sharon Lewis to its creative marketing capabilities a discipline that Mark Jepp places huge importance on. He said: “On the basis that by and large all AGC operators will have access to the same gaming machines our challenge is to win the attention of players through the creativity of our marketing and to retain their custom through the warmth of the welcome and the quality of the experience.
“Sharon has over a decade of experience working in the sector and is someone who really understands machine players. Her creativity and passion for the business will be key in helping Game Nation to achieve its full potential on the high street.”
Reflecting on the progress made since his September appointment he explained: “There is an awful lot to commend Game Nation and I have been careful to build on those positives and address those areas where the business could do better.
“The overarching objective is to set new standards and optimise the potential of each venue. This means having the right product mix, the right floorplan and the right promotional offers to bring the fun back into the AGC experience.
“Every business that I have been involved with has been built around a strong team ethic and bringing the right personalities and skill-sets to the mix are essential.”
