Game Nation is expanding its high street presence with the purchase of two venues in Portsmouth. The message to the population of the Hampshire city is that customers can expect great value for money socially responsible entertainment featuring the latest gaming products.
Game Nation has grown its estate of high street venues with the acquisition of two Adult Gaming Centres in Portsmouth. The Lord George venues, based in the Leigh Park and Fratton areas of the city will be refurbished under the Game Nation brand.
Announcing the purchase, CEO Mark Jepp said: “I am delighted to confirm the acquisition of two high street venues which complement our local presence in Portsmouth and our regional footprint on the south coast. Portsmouth is a key city location and both Fratton and Leigh Park represent vibrant close-knit communities.”
He added: “Significantly, this is the first acquisition made by Game Nation in three years as we begin phase 1 of an investment-driven journey of growth. It reflects our commitment to reinvesting in high streets, contributing to local economies, and creating jobs.
“I am proud of the momentum that we’re building and these new additions mark another step forward in our mission to build a bold and engaging high street brand featuring the latest gaming products and serving the community.”
“Four new faces have joined the senior team since January all of whom contributed to getting the acquisition over the line not least CFO Gary Bennett whose industry career includes considerable experience of acquiring gaming businesses.”
