Golden Gate Holiday Park submits newapplication for bowling alley and arcade

SF Parks has submitted plans to Conwy County Council to build a six-lane bowling alley and arcade extension at The Golden Gate Holiday Centre in Towyn, as part of a new “high-quality” indoor leisure complex.

The multi-million pound proposals also include a rooftop bar, and would require the relocation of the current reception and offices to “centralise the operation and customer experience.”

“Bringing people to the area throughout the year, not just in the summer, is vital for Towyn and the surrounding areas,” said co-director Jonathan Seldon.

“The application to extend the season at Golden Gate to ten and a half months goes hand-in-hand with our plans to transform the leisure facilities and continue improving the experience for our loyal customers.”

According to the Daily Post, the proposed leisure complex would be located “within the south-western corner of the holiday centre, consisting of a two-storey flat roof building with a roof terrace. The plans include the construction of an outdoor play area and 14 parking spaces to the north of the proposed leisure complex.”

Speaking to the Local Democracy Service, co-director Oliver Seldon said: “We have had tremendous feedback from [caravan] owners, from the community and businesses who all want to see more things to do, more jobs, and a thriving Towyn all year round. Our commitment to further investment reflects that.”
