Harries-Jones Gaming is moving ahead with plans to open a new AGC in a former Betfred unit on Bridge Street in Swindon, after securing planning permission last year.
According to the Swindon Advertiser, the company is “currently fitting out the premises,” and will become the latest gaming premises on the street, alongside Shipleys and Merkur.
“The ground floor shop was available from October 2023, extending to 1,131 sq ft with a customer area, counter, office and customer toilet and a staff room and WC at the rear of the property for an asking rent of £19,000 per annum,” reported the paper.
“The new business is expected to be opening soon, but a date is yet to be confirmed.”
Speaking on the deal, Alex Hill of lettings agent Kilpatrick and Co said: “We are pleased to complete this letting and get another vacant shop in the Town Centre reoccupied.”
“We are trying to help property owners revive this part of town, having successfully achieved a lease renewal on 59/60 Bridge Street to Ofie Ltd.”
