House: Boomerang Digital confirms Bingo Express pay-outs top £10m

The application of digital technologies, a century of hands-on operating experience and ‘best in class’ multi-channel support delivered by a UK-based operations team underpin the Boomerang Digital success story.

Bingo Express, the self-service platform which enables players to immerse themselves in all the excitement of live Bingo using touch screen tablets has celebrated a major milestone with Boomerang Digital confirming that total pay-outs have broken through the landmark £10m figure.

The latest data from Boomerang demonstrates the phenomenon’s enduring popularity with nearly £1.2 million awarded to players in the last 12-months.

Reflecting on the success of the platform Director of Sales Freddie Shreeve said: “Bingo Express games have stakes of between 50p and £2 with jackpots that could reach a whopping £10,000!

“It represents a compelling example of how technology can be used to ensure the bingo experience remains simple, intuitive and accessible to a broad audience. Players want products that are easy to understand and fun to engage with – the challenge is to modernise without over complicating the proposition.”

A detailed knowledge of the sector aligned to the application of digital technologies sit at the heart of Boomerang’s commitment to its growing customer base. “We work with a wide variety of operators across both the UK and Ireland” stated Shreeve.  “This includes national brands such as Mecca Bingo, Buzz Bingo, and Club 3000, as well as respected regional and independent groups including Castle Bingo, Jack Potts, Boyle Bingo, Oasis Bingo, Club 2000, Shipley’s, and Coastal Amusements.

“Boomerang has over 25-years’ experience in bingo. Following the acquisitions of Playsafe, ISD, and IHL, our combined expertise covers decades of leadership across operations, systems, and product delivery.

“Collectively the team boasts 100-years of hands-on operating experience gained working for Mecca, Gala, Rank, Club 3000 and BJ’s which means that we speak with authenticity and insight as opposed to being the type of organisation that simply wants to make a sale.”

To support this philosophy Boomerang goes beyond the supply function and encompasses the back-up and expertise necessary to ensure that everything works seamlessly. “We offer multi-channel support via phone, email, and WhatsApp, all backed by a UK-based operations team” stated Shreeve. “Our Account Managers and Product Managers are customer-facing and available for anything that our partners need, from technical support to in-venue assistance. We provide regular reporting, best practice advice, and training to support our customers every step of the way.”

Opening 2025 with the biggest stand at the Bingo Association supported Bingo Hub at EAG, Boomerang is working with operators who are investing in new technology-led products.

Providing an overview of the market Freddie Shreeve said: “We’ve seen growth across both existing products and new sales. Examples include the successful launch of the Castle Bingo app which has been integrated with our Maxim CRM and membership system. We’ve continued rollout activity with Real Fun Group across multiple sites, covering TITO, pay stations, and machine data systems. We also visited Westway Bingo in Ireland to install BUDD.e tablets which support paperless, handheld bingo play and to upgrade their Maxim system.

“The High Street Bingo market is performing well, and Bingo Express continues to grow with new installs and upgrades happening almost weekly. A recent standout win took place at Deluxe Bingo in Hastings, where a player won over £2,000 on a Super 6 game. We’re now progressing into phase 2 of the rollout at that site.”

He added: “Our biggest focus this year is integration. We want to deliver a joined-up customer journey — both for operators and their players. Integration is what enables innovation, allowing us to simplify operations, enhance the player experience, and futureproof the technology stack across every venue we support.”

“UK bingo is widely seen as an innovation leader, and we’re now actively exploring opportunities outside the British Isles. These early-stage projects reflect the global appetite that exists for UK-led technology and service models.”
