More than 200 guests gathered at Bickley Manor in Kent in July to celebrate the 60th birthday of industry stalwart Rajas Rajasekar, with the event also commemorating his 40 year career in the amusement sector.
Representatives from the UK’s leading leisure and gaming firms including Blueprint and Electrocoin joined revellers to enjoy dodgems and a carousel, as well as Las Vegas-style table games and an evening of dancing.
“It is fair to say that Raj is a legend in the business, with his youthful energy both in his own business and in support of all Bacta events and initiatives,” Showmen PR advisor Des Fitzgerald told Coinslot.
“Raj has seen many changes in the amusement and gaming industry over the years, with the landscape of out of home entertainment being transformed, with demographic shifts and legislation at all levels.”
And the man himself appreciated the company on his birthday. Talking to Coinslot shortly after the party, Raj Rajaskar thanked his guests saying: “This is a great industry with so many wonderful people. It was an honour that so many shared the occasion.”
Since joining Family Leisure Holdings in 1986, Rajasekar has established himself as a prominent operator in the UK industry, establishing his own firm Leisure Entertainment Holders in 2010, which serves the East London area.
“He remains philosophical about the challenges and presents an optimistic view for the future, with industry support, but importantly also with support from both his family and the wider community, which has been there encouraging his ambitions and who were all there to celebrate the achievements at the anniversary event.”
