Dreamland has announced its much-missed log flume will be reinstated this season, to coincide with both the park’s 105th anniversary and ten years since the Margate attraction was reopened.
The ride will return alongside the Big Wheel, Dodgems, Pirate Ship, Rock ‘n’ Roller roller coaster, and a new VR experience in the Roller Room, as well as a genre-spanning programme of live music.
“What a jam-packed season we’ve got planned for 2025, which is only fitting for our 105th birthday and ten-year anniversary of reopening,” said CEO Eddie Kemsley. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy the season with us, from incredible music events to traditional seaside fun with rides, food, ice cream and seagulls – it’s going to be great.”
The Log Flume was removed from the park in 2016, but will be ready to accommodate riders when the attraction reopens for the season on 5 April.
However, Dreamland’s most famous ride, the Scenic Railway, will remain closed after being damaged in August 2024, with a spokesperson telling Kent Online “plans for the Scenic Railway will be confirmed further into the 2025 season.”
Acts appearing on the Scenic Stage this year will include Basement Jaxx, Tom Jones, McFly, Madness, The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, and Squeeze.
