LOL Bingo is putting the finishing touches to its new Southport venue, after investing £350,000 in revitalising the former furniture shop on the town’s Lord Street.

The company has already restored the listed canopy to the front of the building and repainted the frontage, and is now installing a full suite of gaming machines.

“A huge week for our growing business as we get ready to open in the lovely town of Southport,” said LOL Bingo director Mike Smith. 

“This particular project has been a brilliant experience, we’ve worked with some great people and everyone’s opinion mattered. We look forward to welcoming you.”

The new venue will create eight jobs, with Smith telling Stand Up For Southport “we want LOL Bingo to play our part in Lord Street’s regeneration.”

On receiving planning approval in July, the venture was hailed by Sefton Council as offering “a positive contribution to the vitality and viability of the centre.”
