Looping Group acquires Waterworld in “multimilion-pound deal”

Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent has been acquired by international attractions operator Looping Group following a “multimillion-pound deal” with M Investment Group.

The park features more than 30 rides and experiences and has become one of the country’s top water parks since it first opened in 1989.

“Waterworld has been a huge part of my life and business journey and I am proud of everything we have achieved as a team,” said M Investment owner Mo Chaudry, who stepped down as director on the day of the sale.

“I am now handing over the baton to Looping, a world-class operator with the vision and expertise to take Waterworld even further, ensuring the resort has an exciting future.”

Waterworld becomes Looping Star’s fourth UK venture, alongside Drayton Manor, Pleasurewood Hills and West Midlands Safari Park, part of an international portfolio of 21 attractions.
