Luxury Leisure has submitted plans to Calderdale Council to extend its Admiral AGC in Brighouse town centre by knocking through into a neighbouring unit.
The proposals would see the two Commercial Street properties combined to form one premises, complete with new signage and relocated entrance.
“The existing shop fronts will be removed and replaced with a new polyester powder-coated aluminium-type fitting and the existing signs will be replaced,” reported the Halifax Courier.
“The front entrance will be moved slightly to the left of the building, with the entrance to the other shop removed.”
The plans were submitted on Luxury Leisure’s behalf by Matrix Architecture Ltd, and note that “visually, the proposed shop front maintains the building’s uniform scale and proportions as before, albeit under one ownership.”
Regarding the new signage, the application adds “having the ability to connect with the customers at street level is imperative to the success of this operation.”
