Lyons Holiday Parks has announced the purchase of the Sandancer arcade in Talacre, just three months after acquiring Mr B’s Amusements in nearby Rhyl, as the holiday company invests heavily in expanding its amusements and park estate.
Lyons Holiday Parks has purchased Sandancer Amusements Arcade on Talacre seafront, with the Station Road venue now officially reopened under the company’s management, promising “even more reasons to visit North Wales.”
The acquisition comes just three months after Lyons acquired Mr B’s Amusements in the nearby resort of Rhyl, with £1m being spent on renovating the site, as well as upgrading machines and equipment.
“We’re growing – Sandancer Arcade in Talacre is now officially part of the Lyons family,” said a spokesperson. “This exciting new addition brings even more reasons to visit North Wales.”

Lyons is yet to confirm whether it will be investing as significantly in refurbishing Sandancer as it did Mr B’s, which benefitted from “brand-new machines, a fresh modern look, upgraded food options and an environment designed for fun, connection and unforgettable moments, right on the promenade.”

The company, which last year acquired the Terfyn Pella Caravan Park on Rhyl Coast Road in 2025, has also invested £1m in upgrading its Robin Hood Holiday Park, located between Rhyl and Prestatyn.
