A man has been jailed by Manchester Magistrates’ Court after causing £400 of damage during a burglary at Mecca Bingo Oldham in June.
Jamie Dickinson, who lives in Manchester, stole cash from the King Street venue before committing a second robbery at a nearby supermarket.
“Dickinson appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 2 August, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary,” reported the Oldham Times.
“The 42-year-old’s first offence came on June 28, when he entered the Mecca Bingo site on King Street in Oldham town centre as a trespasser. Dickinson, of Albert Road, Levenshulme, Manchester, caused £400 worth of damage and stole cash.”
Three weeks later, Dickinson stole alcohol and caused £600 in damage at the Iceland store in Oldham town centre. He was sentenced to eight months in prison, and ordered to pay a surcharge of £187.
