The Blackpool Pier Company has brought “a little more sparkle” to Blackpool’s already glittering seafront with the addition of new illuminated signage at the Central Pier.

The new frontage was officially unveiled on 19 September, following a visit from Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway.

“We had our very own switch-on today,” said a spokesperson for the pier. “Our shiny new Central Pier sign is officially lit up and looking amazing! It was also lovely to have Kate Garraway join us earlier today too!”

The illuminated sign was well received by local residents, including Mark Forrest, who commented “looks stunning,” while vloggers The Blackpool Lads welcomed the addition of “iconic” lights after “years in darkness.”

“The sign looks brilliant,” added Chris Foden. “It’s about time it’s been done,” and Stephanie Ketteringham said “looks great along with the Illuminations and the Tower.”
