Approximately 550 businesses attended the Working With Universal event organised by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Universal Destinations and Experiences last week, which outlined the ways in which future tender opportunities will be presented.
The seminar at Kings House was part of the Bedfordshire Opportunity Exchange Initiative, and featured presentations from Universal’s SVP of external affairs John McReynolds, and SVP of sourcing and procurement Brad Singh.
“Universal outlined how businesses can prepare themselves for future tender opportunities, including having company and financial information, relevant experience and case studies, health and safety policies, quality and environmental certifications, ESG commitments and supply-chain information ready,” reported Project Universal.
“They also confirmed that businesses will be able to register their interest through a dedicated supplier registration form, with relevant opportunities and RFPs communicated as they become available.”
A spokesperson for the company added “our development will have a transformational impact on Bedford and we will be actively engaging local and regional businesses on opportunities to become a supplier.”
