The National Piers Society has confirmed that it will stage its 2026 Annual General Meeting Gala Weekend in the seaside resort of Bournemouth. The event will commence on Friday 19 June through to Sunday 21.

“NPS Members and friends are cordially invited to join us for our Annual General Meeting Gala Weekend in the South Coast’s premier seaside resort of Bournemouth,” the NPS announcement stated. “Your hard-working committee have prepared a superb weekend of events including visits to THREE piers!” 

The NPS noted that they “will have the traditional three days of events” which will open with a Drinks Reception, buffet and talk on Friday evening.

The pier tours will start on the Saturday morning, followed by the AGM which is scheduled for the Saturday afternoon. The highlight of the weekend will be the Grand Dinner on Saturday evening. 

For those staying the extra day, Sunday will feature a coach excursion visiting Boscombe and Swanage Piers.
