Following a stellar 2024 for Light & Wonder, which saw both the launch of the Kascada terminal and a cascade of new B3 content, UK sales director Stuart German revealed that L&W’s new 2025 releases drew “a surprising amount” of customers to its stand, alongside new developments enhancing the Kascada for AGC venues.
Light & Wonder responded to the expanded EAG show floor this year with a strong display of its own, carving out a prominent corner of the Crown Leisure stand to showcase the latest developments to its Kascada terminal, and a wealth of new B3 content.
Speaking to Coinslot, UK sales director Stuart German observed that though the show featured plenty of “difficult conversations” regarding the progress of legislation, customers were as keen as ever to invest in quality.
“EAG has been good, with a surprising amount of customers,” said German. “We weren’t sure how it was going to pan out this year with ICE being over in Barcelona, however from the AGC, bingo and LBO sector we’ve had a good attendance of our customers.”
“The response has been very positive. I think from the products we’re showing and from the games, particularly from the content side, we’ve had a very strong year in 2024 and customers have come to see content that’s coming this year. Particularly on the B3 side of the business.”
One standout for 2024 was the Kascada, which “launched into the market in a major way” last year and is L&W’s core B3 product going forward. Alongside this, the company was showing the Kascada Slant-Top for the first time at EAG.
Due out later this year, the terminal offers a solution for those sites with ceiling height challenges, and comes complete with all L&W’s B3 content.
“The only thing that’s been a difficult conversation is what’s going on with the legislative side,” said German. “We all need some form of clarity on this, in order to plan and move ahead. Being in this limbo period for a protracted length of time doesn’t help any part of the industry.”
However, looking ahead, German added: “For L&W 2025 is a year of real positive changes. We’re expanding the Kascada footprint within the AGC/bingo sector, and negotiating some quite large changes to some of our footprints in the market.”
“There are other projects going on outside the AGC and bingo sector in the LBO world that will keep us very busy right up until December this year, so we already know we have a fairly full roadmap coming in. It’s a busy year, but very exciting.”
