New games headed to Game Vault in Bolton for summer expansion

Game Vault in Bolton has announced it will expand for a limited period this summer, after securing the lease on a neighbouring unit in the Market Place Shopping Centre.

The installation will run for the entire month of August, and will include 25 to 30 new machines including VR experiences and games geared toward younger players.

“It will be just for the summer holidays,” co-owner Craig Holden told the Bolton News. “Market Place gave us a deal for the month of August, we are going to have 25 to 30 extra machines.”

“We’re an arcade and bar, more catered towards families, but then in the evenings we have signature speciality cocktails and gaming for all ages. We also have VR equipment, we are getting more VR in for the summer holidays.”

The new VR machines include a machine gun shooting game, while the venue will also add basketball machines, twin racing machines, and Whack-a-Mole for younger players.

The pop-up expansion will run between 1 and 31 August, opening daily at 10.30am and closing at 8.30pm Monday to Thursday, 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9pm on Sundays.

The original 1,000 sq ft Game Vault venue will remain open during the same period.
