Parkdean is seeking planning permission from the Highland Council to extend the leisure facilities at Lochloy Holiday Park in Nairn harbour, near Inverness.

The submission proposes adding a single-storey addition to the main entrance building, adding more arcade space, as well as new hospitality options.

“If approved, the extension would more than double the size of its existing arcade, and would also extend the outdoor seating area at the front of the building,” reported the Inverness Courier.

“This seating area, outside the front of the park’s Speldings Bar and Restaurant, which is open to all, will be extended over an existing asphalt area, and a new food vendor hut/container will be installed in the grounds. Artwork included with the application suggests that the new food vendor will serve ice cream and be called Scoops.”

According to drawings submitted with the plans, the outdoor seating area will be capable of accommodating 300 diners.
