Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves MP has praised Haven’s £140 million investment for 2025 as a major boost to the UK economy, following a visit to the company’s Kent Coast Holiday Park.
Haven is investing heavily in upgraded facilities, new holiday homes, and enhanced dining experiences across its 39 sites. The move comes as the company prepares to welcome a record 3.7 million holidaymakers this year, with 2025 bookings already outpacing previous years.
“This investment is a vote of confidence in the British economy and its tourism industry,” commented Reeves. “Millions of visitors a year will benefit from this new investment and the improved facilities, and it will be an added boost to our economy.”
The Chancellor toured new developments including a Wetherspoon pub and previewed a £10m swimming pool set to open this winter. She also met with guests, staff, and some of Haven’s 119 apprentices, highlighting the company’s role in supporting local employment and skills development.
“I’m delighted that the Chancellor of the Exchequer has been able to come and see for herself the value we provide to the communities in which we operate, the people who come to our parks and our team who look after them,” concluded Haven CEO Simon Palethorpe.
