Using the success of its Scottish members meeting as a template, Bacta has confirmed that it will be introducing annual regional meetings starting in September. The initiative is designed to enhance engagement and foster a greater sense of community within the trade association.
Bacta is enhancing member engagement with the introduction of annual regional meetings across the trade association.
Drawing on the success of the meeting of Scottish members which has been in place for the last three-years the initiative will provide region-specific support and an opportunity for the Bacta senior team to connect with members in a relaxed and social context.
Confirming the development Bacta President Joseph Cullis said: “The meeting of Scottish members has been a really positive initiative which has enabled Bacta to expand on the national issues that it’s dealing with and most importantly to learn about the region-specific challenges that are directly affecting members.
“I want members to feel connected to Bacta and to foster a greater sense of community within the association by providing more personalised and regionally relevant interactions. By drawing on regional insights, Bacta will also have access to stronger data enabling us to advocate for our members with policymakers, regulators and parliamentarians.”
He added: “The annual regional meetings will encourage active participation by creating spaces for networking, enable members to connect with industry leaders, and regional experts, offer resources that address both general and region-specific industry concerns and reinforce the regional Bacta community by building stronger, more localized networks within the association.”
Meetings will be scheduled annually across the Bacta regions avoiding January’s EAG, the Bacta AGM in June and November’s Convention. The Regional Meetings are pencilled in to launch in September of 2025, with the calendar running through into 2026.
The half-day agendas will include an industry update encompassing trends, legislation and market insights presented by the Bacta Public Affairs team, a Social Responsibility Briefing with group discussions covering specific regional issues, a Members Forum which will be followed by lunch and networking. Meetings will rotate between key locations to ensure equal access for members across the area.
