Silcocks Funland is to sponsor the annual charity Santa Sprint for the 14th year, with funds raised by the festive fun run benefiting the Queenscourt Hospice.

The annual event has raised more than £115,000 since its inception in 2009, and will this year see hundreds of Santa suit-clad participants run the seafront course on 1 December.

The 3K and 5K routes both start and end at Silcock’s Funland, with each runner given a Santa costume to wear, as well as a medal and a complimentary drink courtesy of Silcock’s Leisure Group.

“Silcock’s have been incredible supporters of Queenscourt Hospice, and we’re so grateful for their ongoing help,” said a hospice spokesperson.

The leisure group is also sponsoring Queenscourt’s Christmas card, which this year features a design entitled Dashing to the Carousel, depicting the famous Gallopers in the snow.
