Clacton Pier has reopened its rides for the first time this year, following a three-and-a-half month winter maintenance project to enhance each ride and ensure it meets rigorous safety requirements.
The reopening has been timed to coincide with the February half term, with the pier offering half price rides via the Funcard and Big Day Out Band, including 18-holes of adventure golf, entry to Jurassic Pier 4D, a ride on the Big Wheel and arcade tokens.
“Our technical services staff have been hard at it since mid-November carrying out the various tasks required for the first event of 2026,” said GM Harry Peek. “February Frenzy begins on Saturday and will run through to, and including, 22 February for half term and we are looking forward to seeing guests enjoy our rides once again.
“Obviously, the weather can have a part to play at this time of the year but we are hopeful it will be kind to us – and if not, we have plenty of attractions under cover for families to enjoy.”
