Real Fun Group has promoted Rob Walrond to operations director, recognising his contribution to the turnaround of Majestic Bingo since its acquisition in 2022.

Walrond, who previously served as director of bingo operations, joined the group following its takeover of Majestic Bingo. Real Fun founder Kevin McGinnigle said his impact has been significant from the outset.

“A little under two years ago, I met for lunch with Rob Walrond when we knew Real Fun Group Ltd were going to acquire the business he was part of,” McGinnigle explained. “Within two hours it was clear there was a liking of minds and a cultural fit, and that there was an opportunity for Rob to put his mark on our vision and strategy.”

Since then, Walrond has been “instrumental in turning the business around,” according to McGinnigle. He described him as “solution focussed, positive and not afraid to put his voice forward,” adding that “results are starting to speak for themselves.”

Looking ahead, McGinnigle expressed confidence that Walrond will be pivotal in delivering the company’s mission. “We have plenty of work to do, and I’m confident that Rob Walrond will play a significant part in helping us achieve our mission. Thank you for your efforts sir, enjoy the new role.”
