Royal Marsden Hospital march in memory of Ramon de Beneducci

Family and friends of Project co-founder and former Bacta Vice-President Ramon de Beneducci are getting prepared to complete the 15-mile Banham Marsden March in his memory. The annual event, which is being held May 11th has raised more than £17m for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and all funds raised help to sustain its’ invaluable and world recognised work.

Family and friends of industry personality Ramon de Beneducci, who sadly passed in March aged just 65-years following a very short and sudden illness will be walking in his memory and raising funds for the world-famous Royal Marsden Hospital.

The annual ‘Banham Marsden March’ follows a 15-mile route between the Royal Marsden’s two hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton. The 2025 event which is taking place on May 11 will build on the amazing £17m+ that’s been raised by walkers since the walk was launched in 2011.

Life-long friend Tony Boulton, who together with Ramon launched Project Coin in 1979 said: “The Banham Marsden March is The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s flagship fundraising event. Taking place each May, thousands of walkers embark on the route from Chelsea to Sutton or organise their own event.  The funds generated enable the Royal Marsden to support its nurses, doctors and researchers to continue to provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments which are used across the UK and around the world.”

“Following Ramon’s passing I have been contacted by so many people in the industry asking what they can do and the family has chosen the walk as a way of celebrating Ramon’s life. A Just Giving page  has been set-up in support of the outstanding work undertaken by the Royal Marsden and any contributions will be gratefully received by Ramon’s family in his memory.”
